BURN App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This policy explains what the BURN app and the BURN sign-up on our website collect, why, and who else is involved. It covers BURN by Rebecca Louise only. Luna Bloom and our other products have their own policies.

Who we are

BURN is run by Rebecca Louise. If you have any question about your data, or you want your account deleted, email rebecca@rebecca-louise.com and we will deal with it.

The app is free

BURN does not take payments and has no in-app purchases. We do not collect or store any payment or card information at all.

What we collect

When you create an account

  • Your name — so the app can greet you and so we know who you are when you contact us.
  • Your email address — this is your login, and how we reach you about your membership.
  • Your password — stored only as an encrypted hash by our login provider. Nobody at BURN can see your password, including us.

That is everything we ask for at sign-up. We do not ask for your date of birth, your address, or a photo when you join.

When you answer the set-up questions

When you join we ask two questions so the app shows you the right workouts:

  • Where you are right now — general fitness, beginner, pregnancy, postpartum, or menopause.
  • A follow-up based on that answer — your goal, or, if you told us you are pregnant, how many weeks pregnant you are, or, if you told us you are postpartum, how long it has been since you gave birth.

Please read this part carefully, because it matters more than the rest. Your answers about pregnancy, being postpartum, and menopause are information about your health. We ask for them for one reason only: to show you workouts that are appropriate and safe for you at that point in your life. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone outside the providers listed below. You can change or remove these answers at any time, or ask us to delete them.

When you use the app

Depending on which parts you use, the app may store:

  • Workouts and challenge days you mark as complete, and workouts you favourite.
  • Anything you choose to track: weight entries, step counts, how you are feeling, and gratitude journal entries.
  • Progress photos, if you choose to add them. These are yours. We ask permission before the app can reach your camera or photo library, and you can say no and still use everything else.

When you use an access code

If you enter an access code, we record which code you used and when, so we can honour the right membership and keep track of how many times a code has been used.

Technical information

Like any app or website, our providers automatically receive standard technical data — your IP address, device type and app version — as part of delivering the service and keeping it secure.

Who else is involved

We keep this list short on purpose, and we keep it accurate.

  • Supabase — stores your account, your set-up answers and your membership level. Our BURN database is hosted in the United States.
  • Expo — builds and delivers the app, including over-the-air updates.
  • Apple — distributes the app through the App Store and TestFlight, and tells us anonymous, aggregated information about downloads.
  • Netlify — hosts our web pages, including the web sign-up.
  • JW Player, Wistia and Bunny CDN — stream and deliver the workout videos and programme guides. When you play a video, these providers receive your IP address so the video can reach you.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. There are no advertising or tracking tools in the app.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and its information for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, your set-up answers and your tracked data. We may keep a minimal record of a code redemption where we are required to for accounting purposes.

Your choices and your rights

You can:

  • See what we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Change or remove your set-up answers, including the pregnancy and postpartum ones.
  • Delete your account and everything in it.
  • Withdraw permission for the camera or photo library at any time in your phone settings.
  • Ask us to stop emailing you about your membership.

Depending on where you live — in particular the UK, the EU, or California — you may have additional legal rights, including the right to a copy of your data and the right to object to certain uses. Email rebecca@rebecca-louise.com and we will honour them.

How to delete your account

Email rebecca@rebecca-louise.com from the address you use to sign in, with the subject line Delete my account. We will confirm and permanently delete your account, your workout history and your progress photos within 30 days. You do not have to give a reason.

Children

BURN is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

Health disclaimer

BURN provides fitness and wellbeing content, including content for pregnancy and postpartum. It is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for your doctor or midwife. Anything the app estimates or tracks — including calories, macros or body measurements — is an estimate and should be treated as a guide, not a measurement. Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing exercise, particularly during pregnancy or after giving birth.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
