Stay Fit This Summer With Summer Body Express

Every year, I notice a pattern.
As soon as summer rolls around, things start to shift. The school year ends, vacation plans pick up, and everyone’s schedule gets a little messier. Suddenly, those workouts that were becoming part of your routine start falling off without you even realizing it.
One skipped day turns into a week. Traveling makes it harder to stick to anything consistent. The routine that kept us grounded all year? It fades into “I’ll get back to it after summer.”
I’ve seen it happen inside the BURN App community, and I’ve felt it in my own life too, especially now as a mom. It’s not a lack of motivation. It’s that summer has a way of pushing structure aside and filling the space with everything else.
But here’s the thing: just because summer looks different doesn’t mean your goals have to disappear.
Summer Isn’t a Break, It's a Shift
I used to think summer was a “break.” Time off. A chance to pause everything and relax.
But now I see it differently.
Summer isn’t a break from life—it is life. Messy. Beautiful. Chaotic. And if we’re not careful, it becomes the season where we slip into survival mode, where our goals take a back seat. Where we lose momentum—and the confidence that comes with it.
And I get it.
The travel. The late nights. The last-minute plans. The “I’ll get back on track in August” mindset. It’s so easy to think consistency is something we’ll circle back to later.
But here’s the truth I’ve learned:
We don’t need more time. We need more intention.
How I Learned to Redefine Consistency (Again)
Every time life picks up, whether it’s a packed schedule, travel, or shifting priorities, I’m reminded of something important: consistency doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
It’s easy to get attached to a routine that worked before things got busy. But when your days get unpredictable, those old systems start to fall apart. And instead of adjusting, we often just stop.
I’ve had to unlearn that all-or-nothing mindset.
Because the truth is—life doesn’t wait. And your goals? They’re not waiting either.
What I needed (and what I think we all need) is a way to stay in the game when things feel off.
Not perfectly. Not rigidly. But with intention. With movement. With momentum.
Because the power isn’t in doing it all.
It’s in doing something, and doing it consistently.
The Real Reason We Fall Off in Summer
It’s not because we’re lazy.
It’s not because we lack discipline.
It’s because summer comes in and flips our normal routine on its head, and we don’t know how to adjust.
We’re told: “Just get back on track after your trip.”
But what if you didn’t have to get back on track?
What if your track moved with you?
That’s the mindset shift behind Summer Body Express.
It’s not a program. It’s a reminder.
That 30 minutes done is better than 60 minutes skipped.
The goal isn’t to control your schedule, but to create small anchors that move with it.
Here's how:
What You Can Do This Summer Instead:
- Using hotel chairs for tricep dips and stairwells for quick cardio bursts.
- Swapping long gym sessions for 30-minute full-body workouts on the balcony or living room floor.
- Walking more—through airports, on beach paths, around new cities—because movement doesn’t have to mean “workout.”
-
Looping a resistance band around a suitcase handle, bedpost, or your own legs to turn any space into a workout zone.
- Choosing progress over perfection, and reminding myself that consistency can look completely different in summer, and still count.
You’re learning to be flexible. To be resourceful. To be a woman who adapts instead of disappears.
And that deserves celebrating.
That’s exactly why we built Summer Body Express the way we did.
We’ve broken the month down into four weeks of focused movement, each one designed to match the pace of summer life
A Challenge Built for This Season of Life
When I built the Summer Body Express challenge, I didn’t want it to be another “get your bikini body” program.
I wanted it to be an invitation.
To move differently.
To feel good in your body without guilt.
To reconnect with that fire inside you, even if it’s just for 30 minutes a day.
This challenge isn’t about the number on the scale or the size of your shorts.
It’s about the feeling you get when you choose yourself, even when life is busy.
It’s about doing something for your body that also lifts your spirit.
You don’t need a gym. You just need a plan that moves with you.
And that’s exactly what Summer Body Express delivers.
What This Means For You
You don’t need a perfect plan to stay consistent this summer.
Whether you’re traveling, juggling a packed calendar, or just struggling to find your rhythm again, this is your sign to stay in motion. To do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are.
Summer might not feel structured, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still feel strong, focused, and proud of yourself.
That’s why I created Summer Body Express: to give you something simple, effective, and doable that fits into your real life.
Because when you commit to showing up—even in a different way—you’ll be amazed at what you build.
This summer, make it about consistency that sticks.
Make it about the strength that goes with you.
Make it about you.
Let’s keep it consistent
Let’s keep it expressive.
Let’s make it a Summer Body Express.
